Description:

Cefuroxime is a classical 2nd generation cephalosporin that inhibits gram positive, gram negative bacteria and anaerobes equally and Clavulanic acid is a beta lactamase enzyme inhibitor

Indications:

Respiratory tract infections, Uro-genital tract infections, Bone & loint infections, Skin & soft tissue infections, Pre & Post operative prophylaxis & other systemic infections, Early Lyme Disease & Dental Infections.

Clavulanic acid destroys beta lactamase enzyme by binding to this enzyme irreversibly. Cefuroxime inhibits transpeptidase enzyme in bacteria which causes cell wall to swell & rupture.
