Description:

This preparation is an extract from mammalian pancreas containing enzyme with protease, amylase, and lipase activity.

Indications:

Pancreatin is indicated in digestive disorder due to enzyme deficiency as in children with cystic fibrosis, gastrectomy, chronic pancreatitis and dyspepsia.

Protease conducts proteolysis, that is, begins protein catabolism by hydrolysis of the peptide bonds; amylase converts starch into maltose; lipase splits fat into fatty acids and glycerol.
