Tranexamic Acid 3%.
Tranexamic Acid is a synthetic derivative of the amino acid Lysine and it has been used for a long time as a traditional hemostatic medicine since 1962. The first mention of TA in dermatology was in 1979 reported a very good result by using oral TA in Actinic Prurigo (Skin disorder due to sun exposure).
Later, TA was under study in dermatology and in 1998 demonstrated in vitro that TA could block melanogenesis.

Properties
TRANACIX® – Melasma treatment aim:
Primarily on hyperpigmentation associated with melanogenesis and secondly on the underlying increase in vascular proliferation which can present as subclinical or clinical erythema and decreasing fibroblast growth factor and ultraviolet-light-induced proliferation of mast cells.
TRANACIX® with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) – In reality, sunscreen should be applied every day, even if it is overcast outside or you’re spending much of the day inside. UV radiation is not only present on a warm summer’s day but are also present and can damage skin when the weather is cool, or there is cloud cover.
TRANACIX® Day Cream with SPF 20 – In addition to the curative action of Tranexamic Acid, SPF 20 will have UV protective action against solar radiation on a normal sunny day. Therefore, the treatment involves twice-a-day application in the morning and at night.
Directions for use
On perfectly clean skin apply TRANACIX® Cream (twice / thrice a day, in the morning /afternoon / at night) on the considered areas. Slightly massage in order to make its absorption easier. Once perfectly absorbed, makeup is possible.
