Tiemonium Methylsulphate is a quarternary ammonium antimuscarinic agent with spasmolytic (antispasmodic) and parasympatholytic (anticholinergic) effects and is used in the relief of visceral spasms.

Veralgin Tablet: Each film coated tablet contains Tiemonium Methylsulphate INN 50 mg. Veralgin Injection: Each 2 ml ampoule contains Tiemonium Methylsulfate INN 5 mg.

Veralgin is indicated for visceral muscle spasm i.e. spasms of the intestine, biliary system, bladder and uterus. It is also indicated for pain in gastrointestinal, biliary, urological and gynaecological diseases.

The usual dosage of Veralgin is 100 to 300 mg daily in divided doses. In may also be given at a dose of 5 to 15 mg daily by intramascular or slow intravenous injection.

Tiemonium Methylsulphate should not be used in cases of gluocoma (acute pain of eyeball with vision disturbances), difficulty to urinate (disorders of prostate or bladder), tachycardia, myocardial infarction, paralytic ileus, pyloric stenosis and acute oedema of the lung.

Caution should be taken in cases of chronic bronchitis, coronary insufficiency, ambient hyperthermia, renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency, pregnancy and lactation.

Veralgin Tablet: Each box contains 50's tablets in blister pack. Veralgin Injection: Each box contains 10's ampoules in blister pack.
