Tranexamic Acid BP \n \nComposition :?Tranexamic acid BP 500 mg Tablet. \n \nIndication :?Block-T is indicated to prevent bleeding or to treat bleeding associated with excessive fibrinolysis. Local fibrinolysis may occurs in the following conditions: Prostatectomy and bladder surgery, epistaxis, menorrhagia, Traumatic Hyphaema, conisation of the cervix, management of dental extraction in patients with hemophilic & Hereditary angioneurotic oedema. \n \nDosage and administration :?Tablet : The recommended standard dosage is 2-3 tablets of 500 mg (15-25 mg/kg). \n \nUse in pregnancy and lactation :Pregnancy category "B". There are no adequate and wellcontrolled studies in pregnant women. Tranexamic acid passes into breast milk to a concentration of approximately one hundredth of the concentration in the maternal blood.
