\nVitabion Tablet : Each tablet contains Thiamine Mononitrate BP (100mg), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride BP (200mg), Cyanocobalamin BP (200mcg) \nVitabion Injection : Each ampoule contains Thiamine Hydrochloride BP (100mg), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride BP (100mg), Cyanocobalamin BP (1mg) \n \n

Description

\nVitabion is a special preparation of vitamin B1, B6 and B12. The vitamins B1, B6 and B12 are indispensable for a normal course of the nervous metabolism. \n \n

\n

Indications

\nVitabion is indicated for the treatment of B1, B6 and B12 deficiency syndrome. It is also indicated in the treatment of: \n \n- Diabetic neuropathy \n- Sciatica \n- Peripheral neuralgia \n- Facial neuralgia \n- Lumbago \n- Intercostal neuralgia \n- Myalgia \n- Spinal pain \n \n

Dosage & Administration

\nTablets may be administered in a dose of 1 to 3 tablets per day or as directed by the physician. \n \nAmpoules are preferably injected intramuscularly (deep intragluteal). In severe cases 1 ampoule daily until the acute symptoms subside. For milder cases and follow up therapy 2 to 3 ampoules per week. \n \n

Side Effects

\nGenerally well tolerated. However, a few allergic reactions may be seen. \n \n

\n

Precautions

\nCyanocobalamin should not be given before a diagnosis has been fully established because of the possibility of masking symptoms of subacute degeneration of the spinal cord. Cyanocobalamin is not a suitable form of Vitamin B12 for the treatment of optic neuropathies associated with raised plasma concentrations of cyanocobalamin. \n \n

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation

\nOral tablet form is recommended but injectable preparation is not recommended due to presence of benzyl alcohol. \n \n

Drug Interaction

\nNo such drug interactions have been reported. \n \n

\n

Over Dose

\nIf there is known overdose then treatment is symptomatic and supportive. \n \n

\n
