\nLopadine Max Sterile Eye Drops: Each ml eye drop contains Olopatadine
\n \nHydrochloride USP equivalent to Olopatadine 7 mg.
\n \nDescription
\nOlopatadine is an inhibitor of the release of histamine from the mast cell and a
\n \nrelatively selective histamine H 1 -antagonist that inhibits histamine induced
\n \ninflammatory effects on human conjunctival epithelial cells.
\n \nIndications
\nThis drug is indicated for the treatment of the sign and symptoms of allergic
\n \nconjunctivitis (itchy, watery, red, irritated eyes).
\n \nDosage & Administration
\nAdults and children (age 2 years and above)
\nOne drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) once daily.
\n \nSide Effects
\nFollowing adverse effects can be seen in some patients:
\nHeadache, asthenia, blurred vision, burning or stinging, cold syndrome, dry
\neye, foreign body sensation, hyperaemia, hypersensitivity, keratitis, lid oedema,
\nnausea, pharyngitis, pruritus, rhinitis, sinusitis.
\n \nPrecautions
\nTo prevent contaminating the dropper tip and solution, care should be taken not
\nto touch the eyelids or surrounding areas with the dropper tip of the bottle.
\nPatients should be advised not to wear a contact lens if their eye is red.
\n \nUse in Pregnancy & Lactation
\nPregnancy: Pregnancy category C. For this drug, no clinical data on exposed
\npregnancies is available.
\nLactation: It is not known if this medicine passes into breast milk, therefore it is
\nnot recommended for use during breastfeeding.
\n \nDrug Interaction
\nInteractions with other medications have not been investigated in vivo.
\n \nOver Dose
