\n \nButenafine HCl INN \n \nComposition :?Butenafine HCl INN 1%. \n \nIndication :?Butenafine cream is indicated for the topical treatment of following superficial dermatophytes: tinea pedis (athletes foot), tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jockitch) due to M. furfur, E. floccosum, T. mentagrophytes, T. rubrum, T. tonsurans. \n \nDosage and administration :?Patients with tinea (pityriasis) versicolor should apply butenafine once daily for two weeks. In the treatment of interdigital tinea pedis butenafine should be applied twice daily for 7 days or once daily for 4 weeks. Patients with tinea corporis or tinea cruris should apply butenafine once daily for two weeks. Or, as directed by the registered physician. \n \nUse in pregnancy and lactation :?No adequate and well controlled studies that have been conducted with topically applied butenafine in pregnant women. This drug should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
