\n \nWhat Supraxim is and what it is used for: \n \nSupraxim (Cefuroxime) is second generation Cephalosporin antibiotic. Cefuroxime is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as bronchitis; gonorrhea; Lyme disease; and infections of the ears, throat, sinuses, urinary tract, and skin. \n \n

\n \nBefore you take Supraxim: \n \nCefuroxime has not been studied for use during labor and delivery. Nursing Mothers Because Cefuroxime is excreted in human milk, consideration should be given to discontinuing nursing temporarily during treatment with Cefuroxime. \n \n

\n \nPossible side effects: \n \nLike all medicines, Supraxim? can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Hypersensitivity reactions: Anaphylaxis, angioedema, pruritus, rash, serum sickness-like reaction, and urticaria. Gastrointestinal: Pseudomembranous colitis Hematologic: Hemolytic anemia, leucopenia, pancytopenia, and thrombocytopenia and increased prothrombin time. Skin: Erythemia multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and toxic epidermal necrolysis. Tell your doctor if any of the side effects gets serious or lasts longer than a few days, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet. \n \n

\n \nHow to store Supraxim: \n \nStore in a cool and dry place, away from light. Keep out of reach of children. \n \n
