\n \nWhat Simox is and what it is used for: \n \nSimox (Amoxicillin) belongs to the penicillin group of antibiotics. Simox is used to treat a range of bacterial infections. These may be infections of the chest (pneumonia), tonsils (tonsillitis), sinuses (sinusitis), urinary and genital tract, skin and fleshy tissues. Simox can also be used to prevent infection. \n \n

\n \nBefore you take Simox : \n \nSimox is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to penicillins. Take special care with Simox In presence of gastrointestinal diseases such as diarrhoea and vomiting, absorption of oral preparation is doubtful. Like all broad-spectrum antibiotics, super infection may occur in association with Amoxicillin. In such cases treatment with Amoxicillin should be discontinued and appropriate therapy to combat super infection should be instituted. Pregnancy and breast-feeding Pregnancy and lactation: Amoxicillin has been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA Children: Amoxicillin is excreted into human milk in small amounts. \n \n

\n \nPossible side effects: \n \nSide effects, as with other penicillins, are rare and usually of mild and transient in nature. Skin rashes may appear to some patients. This must be reported to the physician and treatment should be discontinued. Gastrointestinal complaints such as diarrhea have occasionally been observed. These usually subside on continuation of therapy. Incidence of persistent diarrhea should be reported to the physician. \n \n

\n \nHow to store Simox : \n \nStore in a cool and dry place, away from light. Keep out of reach of children. \n \n
